This has probably been discussed before, like a lot of things, but how do you store your AG items? This summer, I really have to get rid of stuff in my room and I want to have a place to store my AG items. Right now my dolls are on my bed and I have one shelf on my bookcase for the books and movies and I have their clothes stuffed into small AG boxes. I need a bigger space to store everything. And I was just wondering how you store your stuff. Pics would be helpful too. Thanks!

I don't have any accessories- so that changes it a bit.

I keep my books on a bookshelf.
I keep my dolls on a bookshelf, or on my dresser, or wherever they end up.

I keep each outfit in a quart sized plastic bag with all the components in it. I put all the outfit bags into one of the doll boxes and put them into my bedside table. The bedside table will hold 4 doll boxes, with 50 outfits I am at about 1.5 boxes full. Large hats and stuff just sit on top of those.

Sorry I don't have any full pictures of the cabinent I keep them in- it's just a bedside table with 2 shelves inside doors, and 1 open shelf (that i use for my current book, lotion etc) I had my husband make it so that the top is tiered rather than flat on top and I can display my dolls on it. (and it opens to a hinge box on the top- no need to waste the space) here is an album that has pictures of the dolls on it- so you can get an idea of the top.

That's a cute bedside table. Most of the stuff I have to get rid of is some stuffed animals. I have 2 totes full of them, one tote full of blankets/sheets/comfortaers; a small clost thing b/c my room never had a real closet; my desk, bed, an old sewing machine that I just use to display stuff, my bureau, bookcase, some crates and some bins. I am so bad at organizing. Hopefully I can come up with something.

This probably wont be too helpful at all, but here's where I store mostly all of my AG stuff:

AGshelf
Dolls are on a hutch on top of my desk. Nice as it doesnt really take up any extra space (moving up instead of out).

AGbooks1
My AG books (and the 2 DVDs), a few of them aren't here as they're oversized, so they're in another bookcase. This is actually a DVD case that I just put the shelves in at different levels, it's perfect for AG books this way.

AGtrunk
Trunk I store all of my AG clothes and accessories in, with Sam standing beside as a size reference. I got the trunk on sale at Ben Franklin a few years ago, I think it ended up costing around $20-30. On top are my AG catalogues and magazines in simple magazine racks (from IKEA, lol).

AGtrunkinside1
Inside of the trunk. There's 4 AG doll boxes *cramed* full of clothes and shoes and accessories and 5 large AGT outfit/accessory boxes holding the rest. This isn't working out too well, I have too much AG clothes to store them like this. Luckily most of them don't get wrinkly. I don't know if that's because I fold them well, or if it's the material AG uses, or something else.

I am also bad at organizing my things. I have so much *stuff*, mostly books and movies, but I refuse to get rid of things, so it's hard to keep my room looking organized.

I can't wait to see what others post. I'd love some new ideas, too .

I got a big old trunk for sale at The Bombay Company. Then I got some pretty photo storage boxes from Ross. I put the outfits in the boxes and the boxes and the dolls in the trunk. The boxes that don't fit (my collection is growing) sit on top of the trunk. My accessories are in skinny tupperware boxes under my bed.

I think, ideally, I would get an Ikea wardrobe. They come in almost any configuration you like. I'd get three drawers on the bottom for the clothes and accessories, then two big shelves for the dolls and furniture, etc. Then you have a nice little 'House" that you can close to protect from dust, cats, etc.

Right now, my AG clothes/accessories are kept in a 20 Gallon storage tote. Each outfit is either in it's original box or place in individual zip-lock freezer bags with their accessories. It's working so far only because we're still "new" to collecting. Of course being on this board the collection is growing.

My two dolls are displayed in my living room's side table. DD's Samantha is on her dresser and her marisol is everywhere she wants her to be! I really need a bookcase though. I miss having one.

Cami, I like your idea of the DVD case.

I just converted all my doll stuff into one of those tupperwear stand up storage things with drawers. Everything fits in nicely with room to spare! and its great for easy access! I'll have to take a pic... they are only about 22 dollars and are well worth the investment

I bought these boxes from IKEA, each girl has her own box. For the small accessories/hairbands etc. I have a clear plastic box that came with the Ferrero Rocher chocolates. Was hard work to empty these boxes - the sacrifices one makes for these girls
